Where my Daily Show/Patriot Act/Netflix stand up special fans at?? 🙌🏻 I wrote and was the creative director on this Adobe commercial and full funnel campaign with one of my comedy heroes, @HasanMinhaj. Nobody even asked for this one — we were just scoped to make one spot, but I had this idea and it was too good to NOT make so they found the money and we made it and put it on TV?! Isn't that wild?!?! 🔥💰📈🤑

So the last ad was an ad where Hasan and his agent use the product to discuss making an ad for the product (which is an ad), but then agreed to make the ad (which was the ad) but also (wasn't the ad) and this ((is the ad)) but what even is an (((ad))) these days??? 🤯

Did you know that the @PlainWhiteTees song "Hey There Delilah" was actually originally "Hey There Brennan" and was about how good I am at advertising and being a #creativedirector and stuff??? 😎 Cuz it was. I have video proof! ⚡️

SURPRISE! The @Adobe x @HasanMinhaj takeover of @OnlyBrens continues! 😆 On top of making two big spots in two days, we also shot a docu-style piece with our boy. I asked the questions and I even directed this piece — my directorial debut! 🎥

I know some of my followers are gamers 🎮 Here's a commercial I made for Capital One to highlight their Twitch partnership and market their AI-powered assistant, Eno. I've never fought for anything in my life as much as I fought to keep the backpack imp who pops up and sings, "EEEENOOO, FROM CAPITAL ONE!" Humble brag: so far this ad's been viewed 14M+ times with 90% of viewers watching the whole thing to completion. Say whaaaat?

You know what's cool? Reflecting what real life looks like in your work. Rejecting heteronormativity. Chipping away at the patriarchy. Doing something, anything, to help create a more inclusive present for everyone. So I wrote this script and led a team in creating this ad to do just that. It's small, but I hope it helps.

Caring about others is hot, and using your skills for good is even hotter. Here's a video I made pro bono for Communities in Schools, a nonprofit that provides social workers for at-risk youth to help them succeed in school despite having incredibly rocky lives outside of the classroom. Who likes MONSTER TRUCKS?! I interned on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien while I was a student at UCLA,  and when the writers went on strike I pitched a segment where world famous monster truck Grave Digger crushes the world's largest pumpkin. I was 20, and it's been downhill ever since.

I wanted to cut the crap and speak to the real reason you'd want a waterproof phone: so you can stop worrying about how often you drop your phone between your legs when you're on the can! Sometimes I pretend I'm a country music hunk like NHL star turned country crooner Chad Brownlee, even though I grew up in SoCal and I'm not, like, super into generic radio country music 🤭 Can you spot younger not-yet-bald me in this music video? The catering at this shoot included a massive build-your-own breakfast burrito bar, which I still think about often.

Oooh, shiny! My art director Ben Frick and I were creative leads for Capital One's entire Pride branding in 2018, which included top billing partnerships at NYC and DC Pride events as well as these crazy bank takeovers. We wanted to create a pride campaign that was inclusive of the BIPOC community, so we led with "color" in the copy and directly addressed BIPOC inclusion elsewhere in our campaign. Fuck yeah, inclusivity! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

Speaking of Pride events, this line was an absolute HIT. People posted pictures of themselves with it on Instagram and one even literally said "Capital One has bomb ass marketing". DO YOU KNOW HOW HARD IT IS TO GET PEOPLE TO SAY THAT A CREDIT CARD COMPANY HAS BOMB ASS MARKETING?! 🏆
